stuff

Many years back a family we knew moved away. Before the packing began they made a decision to go through all the things they had collected through the years and remove from their possession all that was not needed. A few years later I ran into the husband who had returned for a visit. During our catch up time he mentioned how freeing that experience had been for all of them. This made me think about the things we collect and surround ourselves with in regard to the way we think about God. Years and years of stuff get piled around and on top of us. Before we know it we aren't free and all the things that Christ wanted us to see about ourselves, others and Him have somehow been lost in the layers of stuff. The message was pure and simple and perfect. Love.

Peace,
