A talk with the ocean

Every time I get the chance to be near the ocean, I make sure to take time to go and sit.  Sit and listen.  It is like the sound of the waves and the surf are God talking to me.  Especially when I am distressed over something, it is so healing to go and sit there.

A few weeks ago I was there and it was like I could hear it talking.  It said, "Listen and hear me well Jeff. I have been rolling in and out with the time since well before you were born. And I will be coming in and out and making myself known, well after you were gone. Your children will come here and talk to me your grandchildren and your great-grandchildren as well.   I was created by God and I am reminding everyone of his greatness. Let the greatness of God remind you of the small size of your human concerns."

I knew the ocean was right.  My worries are small, especially when compared to his vast amazing greatness.

It's a beautiful day in God's world, be sure to see the good.

No worship center or sanctuary built with human hands can compare to the grand worship center of the ocean. Thank you God.

Jeff, in addition to your enjoyed grandeur of the ocean, have you gotten to go on your reading retreat to the redwoods in the past couple of years?

You definitely need a "like" button, or an "amen" button on your site.
