Love or don't. There is no in between. It is a choice that we make every day. To love is to do what God does, it is to be what God is. If we do not love, we do not know God.
7 Dear friends, let’s love each other, because love is from God, and everyone who loves is born from God and knows God. 8 The person who doesn’t love does not know God, because God is love.

If we do not love, we do not know God. So I suggest that we get over ourselves and just choose to love.
