On waking up

Yesterday's post was about how people are asleep.  They are not paying attention.  They are on auto-pilot.  They react to things in this world and do not see the good that is there around them.

They do not see the good. 

They are asleep.

Here are some thoughts about how we humans can wake up and experience lives that are truly full.  Yes these thoughts are repetitive, but it takes practice to change our behaviors.

  • See every person as a valuable human being.  One person at a time, treat them with kindness.
  • Practice gratitude.  See the man blessings that we have.
  • Do not be threatened by new ideas.  Relax, they cannot hurt you.
  • Notice your breath.  Notice your heartbeat.  One day it will all be gone.  Appreciate the moment.
  • Be thankful for the simple things [yes, gratitude again] When we find something to be thankful for, our attitude changes.
  • Invest yourself in others.  Show them extraordinary kindness and you will find joy.

It is surely a beautiful day in God's world, be sure to see the good!!!
