The weather in Florida in July usually hovers around 92 degrees. It is a hot heat.
So you know- just down the street from our house is this little church. It will always be a little church because of hateful messages like this...
There are so many things wrong with this.
First of all, if you are trying to get people to attend your church, this isn't going to help. Not only will this message keep people from trying your church, it will cause people to stay away from any church. This hateful message is actually going to drive people away from the church.
Then there is a theological issue that I have... stop sinning? Can you do that? Yes you can control many things in your life, but selfishness will never be completely eradicated from our lives. The apostle Paul talked about his struggle between the spirit and the flesh. We are never going to be perfectly sinless in this life.
But it sounds like the people that attend this church are sin free. I doubt it.
Anyway, the moral of this rant is that there are many "Christian sounding" phrases that are not Christian at all.
May our words and thoughts always be kind and gracious.
It's a beautiful day in God's world, be sure to see the good.
