I built a garage

Last night, I built a garage. All night long I built a garage in my dreams. Four separate times I entered the same dream of building a garage. It was a big garage. 30 x 40. It held cars and tools and furniture. Many people helped. It was like an Amish barn raising. It was fun. It was exciting, and it was not what I was expecting to be doing.

I have no idea what all of that means, but I do have a feeling that it means something.

Dreams are like that. They invite us to go places that we do not understand. God's dreams are like that. He invites us to think about things that are beyond our comprehension. We have glimpses of where he wants us to go, but there is so much information missing. We must keep an open mind, keep listening, and take one step at a time.

What are your dreams? What are God's dreams for you? Wouldn't it be nice to pursue them while we can?

It's a beautiful day in God's world, be sure to see the good.

So, I really don't know anything about building a multi-level parking garage, but I'll be glad to help if you think that's the answer to our church parking "problem".

I'm no dream analyst but I suspect your dream has something to do with the need for more parking and additional sanctuary space. Your dream may have been about a "garage" but it may have more to do with building and preparing the way.

over the years i've had a lot of dreams about houses, and i learned to relize the house was about me. Your garage is similiar, most likely a BIG vision you are holding of a work for the Lord. To accomplish your vision you are going to need others to come together and work towards a common goal. The cars represent the people you have spiritual reponsibility for

Jeff:

Here is the dream. I too was in your "garage", but there were several guys from the church. We had several items going on.

One garage area was for decent used cars. We would have them donated and this group of guys would come in whenever and repair and clean up these cars and we would give them to needy people in the community.

The second area was a maintenance area for people, down on their luck because of the downturn, who needed a car and could not afford the repairs. Tire repair, oil changes, anything to keep them going. Wait, it gets wild now.

The third area is an area were we are restoring an old Mustang. We take an old junk car, completely rebuild it, make it really special and sell it for 10x what we had in. I remember talking to you, you just brought it back before we sold it, (we each got to drive it for a day) about what the next car was. We took the money and put it into the garage and church and started over.

Now, in all this time, we all became men who touched others by our actions, we became closer and found new people we had never known and we fulfilled a desire in each of us to build with our hands, to make something better.

We have these men in the church right now, we have the contacts to get the parts, and all we have to is put it together. Dream are for a reason, it's someone talking to you, to get outside of the zone and do something we never would have imagined on our own. Someone's talking!
