So here is yesterday.
Someone broke out the back window of my pickup truck. [I am reminded that I mentioned in a sermon a few weeks ago that it is every one's truck]
the brakes are out in my wife's car
the AC is out at the house.
I must be getting mellow, because it is all going to be ok.
It's a beautiful day in God's world, be sure to see the good.

Jeff, you're not only mellowing, but like many of the rest of us, you've been so shell-shocked by all the disasters lately (Joplin, the floods, the hungry people you've witnessed in other countries) that it's causing you to put things like the speed bumps in your life at home, in perspective.
I do pray that the ac people come quickly, in all this heat. Also, so glad Cathy wasn"t hurt in the car when the brakes went out.
And to count you blessings, we're all glad those cats didn't fight all night....did they???
Its to bad your wife's car isn't everyone's car because then they'd all have to pitch in to get it fixed. :)
Maybe if your wife's car was "everyone's car" and we all pitched in to have it fixed, then we would actually be functioning as the Church God intended us to be in the world. But then we would have to lose claim to anything we possessed and pronounce all things everyones' and share a common life together because we were of one mind and we broke bread together daily and met at the temple d a i l y... Wait. Are we the Church right now?
