Selfishness

Recently posted in the neighborhood app, "I have branches on my sidewalk, when is the county ever going to pick them up?"

Wow!

This in an area that was devastated by a hurricane!  Some people don't have a house and you are worried about a few branches on your sidewalk?

Self-centeredness is a terrible thing.  We are born self centered, but we do not have to stay that way.  

Start asking yourself... What is going on with others?  What kind of a day is that person having?  How can I help others?

I can promise you, when we focus on our own problems, they seem bigger.  When we focus on caring for others, our own problems seem smaller.

It is a beautiful day in God's world, be sure to see the serious wounds in other's lives, not the palm fronds on your sidewalk.
