Questions in church should be allowed. When Pastors or leaders do not want your questions, it reminds me of the scene in the Wizard of Oz. What are they trying to hide? What do they want you to believe that might not be quite so?
Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.
In an organization that is hiding things, you find falsehood. In an organization that is transparent, you find real people. If they won't answer your questions, if they shame you for asking questions, then it is time to move on.
Real churches allow and welcome questions. They may not always have perfect answers, but in authentic organizations you will find good people doing their best to be upfront with you.
If they act like they are perfect, if your questions are not welcome, then run away.
