to dream

To dream. To dream. To dream is to live beyond one's self. It is to enter the abode of God. To dream is to leave the comfort of today and reach into the realm of possibility. It is to ask tomorrow what might be. Dreamers leave comfortable homes and warm blankets and set out on long journeys. Along the way they learn about who they are, they find the joy of helping others and they start to become that which they would otherwise have never been.

To dream is to invite stress. It is to open the door and welcome anxiety. It is to take on the responsibility for the impossible.

To dream is to discover who we were created to be. It is to discern the mind of the Almighty. Some people talk about God. Those who follow God's dreams, discover the place where He lives.

Don't be afraid to dream God's dreams, be afraid not to.

It's a beautiful day in God's world, be sure to see the good.

Todays sermon was one of your best. Wow!

I had read your blog this morning before leaving for church but didn't have time then to comment. Paragraph #2 really hit home for me at this time. Thanks for reminding me that in order to realize a dream, it may take sacrifice, hard work, stress and the like. All of dreaming is not gazing into the sky. It's not always pleasant but, my, what a feeling of joy when you finally see some "headway"! As you mentioned in your sermon, as we get older we realize that there is more out there for us to learn...never-ending. Dreams sometimes work out in much the same way. We dream, we work, and we inch our way toward what we are dreaming. Whether realized or not, we have the joy of that feeling.

Thank you, friend, for your thoughtful, prayerful words.

I am embarking on a new dream tomorrow morning (Tuesday) at 8:30 AM. I am excited and stressed. BUT dreams are awesome! I do not believe you are really living and using your God given talents unless you are dreaming. Thank you for your timely comments.
