From a friend...

Life happens. As a matter of fact, sometimes life just sucks. Someone dear to me always says "okay, life's sucks, now what are you going to do?"

Murphy showed up at our house over the last few years. Unemployment was forced upon us and we started over in mid life. We lost friends to cancer; the engine in the truck failed, and then I was diagnosed with cancer. Sounds like a bad country song.

Life brings things like that. God doesn't. God is a comforter. He is a love deep in your soul that tells you it's all going to be alright.

As we lay in the valley and look up at the mountain we can focus on the difficulty of the climb or we can feel the lushness of the grass beneath us and the beauty of the mountain waiting to be climbed. And we know we will climb it again. Life is great that way. You get second and third and more chances. Give thanks to God even when life sucks.

It's a beautiful day in God's world, be sure to see the good.
