Wedding miscue #2

So if there is a slip up at the wedding, you hope that you are not involved in it.  And surely you do not want to be the cause of it.  Well, this was one for the record books.

Dad walks Alli down the isle.  Is he crying?  What a baby.

Dad has given her away and is returning to his seat.
Something is holding Alli back.  Her veil is caught.
The groom sees it and laughs.
What could it be?

Yes I inadvertently stepped on her veil.
Her head jerked back.
I had no idea what was going on.
The priest said that it was a metaphor -
that I was reluctant to let her go.

All is forgiven.  We danced our Father Daughter dance.
The song was Louie Armstrong's
What a wonderful world.

It's a beautiful day in God's world be sure to see the good.
