children

I read it the other day: Children are a mirror. They learn what they see.

What does that mean? What you pour into them, they will reproduce. A dose of love = a heart of love. A dose of dysfunction = well, most of us know what that is like.

An apple still does not fall from the tree.

It's not too late. What am I pouring into the people around me? What are you pouring in?

It's a beautiful day in God's world, be sure to see the good.

Another thing to consider is who are our children "seeing" when they aren't with us? So much of their time is spent with others at school, on-line, watching people on TV, or with people/peers we may not even know! So if we see something they are "mirroring" and don't recognize it - maybe it's a message that we need to get plugged in. I wish I had heard this line when my kids were little. . . thanks for sharing it with all of us.
