accountability

In seminary they said, "never trust a shepherd that isn't someone else's sheep."  The statement was meant as a reminder to us pastor types that we always need to sit under someone else's ministry.  We always need to have people that see into our lives and can comment freely.  Folks that will hold us accountable.  I think this is good advice for everyone.

So here are some questions to ask yourself.  Do you have a counselor?  Do you have a friend that you tell everything to, that knows the best and worst of you?  Are you reading, growing changing?  Are you in the habit of allowing your thoughts and life paradigms to be challenged?

Actions like this can be difficult and painful, but life is better when we areopen and learning, when we know that we have progress to make and we are not offended by the process.

It's a beautiful day in God's world, be sure to see the good.
