you can't take it with you

A rich man died and went to heaven.
How much of his money did he leave behind?
All of it.

Sad but true, we will one day all die.  No one leaves this life vertically.  We are all going to die.  What are you doing with the money that God has allowed you to use in this life?

Remember, we are not owners of homes, cars or bank accounts.  We are stewards of these gifts that God has given to us.  And I believe that he gives us such things not simply for our consumption, but so that we can help others.

Somewhere there is someone that you can bless by being generous.  And we might as well be generous.  Have you ever seen a hearse pulling a u-haul?  You can't take it with you.

What would happen if every one of us, this day, made a commitment to give a gift or do an act of kindness for another person?  Oh, there is so much joy in living the generous life.

It's a beautiful day in God's world, be sure to see the good.
