as the deer

Behind our home is a little meadow and a water retention pond.  The retention pond is full of trees.  Sometimes the pond is dry, but routinely, especially when it has rained, there is a little brook that wanders through.

Deer drop by from time to time to drink the water, eat the grass and rest in the meadow.  After dodging cars and jumping fences all day, I am sure that it is a peaceful rest for their souls.

"As the deer pants for the water, so my soul longs for you O God."  Psalm 42:1
