I recently had a handyman job to repair a gutter downspout. According to the homeowner, some months ago, a small animal, squirrel, rat or mouse ran into the downspout. It was evidently running from a bobcat or some other large predator.
The bobcat bit, chewed and flattened the downspout about three feet up.

I have never seen anything like this. It reminds me that God's world is a very cruel space. Such attacks happen all the time as the created food chain does it's thing.
Seeing this also reminds me of our own fragility. A bullet, a gator, a car wreck and who knows what else, could take any of us at any moment.
Savor this day that God has given you. We never know what is around the corner.
