Graduation Season

It is that time of year. Changes. Milestones. Goodbye to high school, hello to whatever is next. It is such an interesting feeling to view our graduates each year in church. They get a chance to say their name and what they will be doing after graduation.

Many of these young people, I met when they were five and six years old. We have had the great privilege of watching them grow up. More than that, we have played a role in raising them.

The church. Sunday after Sunday, Wednesday after Wednesday, worship service, club 56, youth group, missions trip, and casual times that we see these young people. We have the chance to touch the lives of young people. Make no mistake, when given the chance, it is working. We are sending some awesome kids out into the world.

If you have children, do not underestimate the important role that the church and it's programs play in raising our children. Remember, all of us have an awesome opportunity to reach out to young people, to hug them, to mentor them, to be the church. Take full advantage of any opportunity that you have to care about young people. We are the church, and we are making a difference, one life at a time.

It's a beautiful day in God's world, be sure to see the good.
