being wrong

Being wrong is one thing, admitting that you were wrong is another. All of us are wrong from time to time. When we refuse to recognize that, the chasm grows wider. Yes, we protect our ego, but at what expense? When we stop being defensive and admit that we were wrong, the other party relaxes. They actually gain respect for us for doing so.

Odd, sometimes we try to protect ourselves by not thinking that we may be wrong. This actually hurts us. Relationships are healed when we fess up, take responsibility and just admit it.

Even if you think you are only 5% wrong in a situation, isn't it better to own that, and save the relationship? Being defensive is a sign of weakness. Taking responsibility is a sign of strength.

It's a beautiful day in God's world, be sure to see the good.

Interesting post, but I'm only 25, so I haven't lived long enough to be wrong yet.

Josh, my experience is: the period in your life when you are the most wrong is before you are 25!!! Save this to read 25 years from now and you will agree!!!!!
