all you need is love

The Beatles said it. All you need is love. I got an email from someone yesterday that was dogging John Lennon. I did not feel good about it. What is the point. Another attempt at illustrating who are the good ones and who are the bad ones. Like we get to decide.

All you need is love. What if all of our questions, worries, and philosophies could all be resolved if we just were better at loving. What if acting out in love brought the joy and circumstances that we sought? Obviously if we act out in hatefulness, it will bring the expected result.

So what if, we just started focusing on love. Acting out in love. Maybe, possibly, we would know everything that we needed to know and have the results that we sought.

God is love. All you need is love. Try to spend all of today just loving people. What can go wrong? It will probably be a pretty good day.

It's a beautiful day in God's world, be sure to see the good.

Big Beatles fan. And I'll just say: When I was having my knee surgery, I picked up a Guidepost in the doctors office. In it was a story about a gruop of American Christians who were doing some missions work in Japan. Well, John Lennon was vacationing nearby and the author of the article ended up having a conversation with John and Yoko while they were on a bike ride. I'll just say that the quotes she attributed to John were the kinds of words any Christian should strive to speak.

Hey what about what one of the other guy’s in that group had to say….

“And when the broken hearted people living in the world agree,
there will be an answer, let it be.
For though they may be parted there is still a chance that they will see,
there will be an answer. let it be”

Peace,
