You can buy someone a present. You can buy them lunch. You can do all sorts of things for people.
One of the finest gifts that can be given to another is the gift of your time. Time to listen. Time to care. Time to look into their eyes and see their soul. Time to encourage them.
Just being with someone is not what I am talking about. You can have lunch with someone and not be "present." You can go on a trip with your kids and ignore them. You can be married and not be "together." You get my point.
Spending time with another. An hour at lunch. 5 mins in the office. A moment in line at the grocery store. Me and you together in this world. It's a gift. It's a great gift. Slow down. Be present. Spend real time with folks. Let them see into your soul.
It's a beautiful day in God's world, be sure to see the good.
