T-10. It's a vertebra in your back. In the middle. Not lower lumbar, but middle. Yesterday, my son Scott fell off a roof and broke his back. T-10.
He could have been killed. I went to meet him at the job site and called the ambulance. When you hear the siren coming for your child, there is a fearful shaking in your soul. It was horribly traumatic. I saw the place that he fell from. 14' from the gutter to the ground. His side hurts, his mouth hurts, his teeth hurt. Everything hurts. He could have broken his neck, he could have been killed.
Instead, he has a broken T-10. Wear a brace for 6 weeks. heal. Rest. Then back to normal.
I just want to take a moment to thank God. THANK GOD! Will you thank God with me? Oh, the sobbing fears of a parent were so on display today. Thank God, it is only a broken T-10.
It's a beautiful day in God's world, be sure to see the good.

God, thank you. Thank you for picking us up when we fall--literally and spiritually. Thank you for protecting Scott from more serious injuries and we thank you for the healing that is to come. Thank you for caring parents--parents that feel the pain of their children and reach out to others for comfort and prayer when they are overwhelmed with gratitude for your love and protection. In the name of your precious son. Amen.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Dad and Mom, as well as Scott. I'm so very thankful he was working here, so you could get to him quickly.
God bless you and your family.
Thank God, indeed. Prayers for a swift recovery.
First, I am so happy to hear that your son is OK. There is no pain like that of a parent's pain for their child. My son was recently in the hospital and my heart was breaking for him. It makes me think: God could have saved the world in so many ways, but he did so by sacrificing his son- HIS SON! After becoming a parent, the enormity of this hit me. Can you imagine the pain of Mary watching the torture of your son? What a tremendously precious gift we have been given!!!

I cannot imagine the panic you experienced yesterday. We all share in the thanksgiving that Scott will be ok. Prayers for quick healing and restoration.
