deserve

We want what is coming to us.  We want our just deserts.  We want our fair share.  We want our piece of the pie.  But do we actually deserve anything?

What happens to our heart and life when we start thinking that we deserve this or we deserve that.  When we think we are entitled to something, we are always upset when it doesn't go our way.

What if we stopped wanting everything?  What if we saw the gift of every single thing that God has already given to us?  What if we lived by the adage, "the Lord gives and the Lord takes away, blessed be the name of the  Lord?"

I suggest to you that life is much better, much more joyful when we stop thinking that we deserve something and instead fill our hearts and minds with gratitude.
