Seems like in every Presidential election there is talk about who is a uniter, and who is a divider. You pick whatever you think about the candidates. I want to ask about us now.
In your life, on your job, in your home, at church, in your neighborhood, in the PTA, as a sports parent, are you a uniter or a divider? Are you stirring people up or bringing them together? Are you inciting a riot or reminding people of what is really important?
You know that most of the things that we are upset about, in one week, we won't even remember why we were so upset. Our life is a blink on the face of time. Life is too short to sweat the small stuff. Leaders point people toward mental health. Leaders call people toward positive action.
Life is good. It will work out. Put your arms around folks and move on. Everything is not going to go my way or your way and that is ok. Blessed are the peacemakers. I think Jesus said that.
It's a beautiful day in God's world, be sure to see the good.
