politics

Please be careful. This is a very emotional, politically charged time. Just watch the news. There are good Christian people in our church that do not agree with you. Christians will be voting on both sides in November. Our church must remain a place where everyone feels welcome. Do not assume that since you feel strongly about your views that everyone else in the room does as well. People are more important than ideas. Remember, besides Democrats and Republicans, there will also be Libertarians, Whigs, and Federalists in heaven, not to mention a whole slew of folks from other countries.

It's Sunday, let's go to church. Today for one hour, we will be McCain free, Obama free, Biden free and Palin free. It's all about Jesus. See you here later this morning. Let's remember that we are here to lift up the name of Jesus.

It's a beautiful day in God's world, be sure to see the good.

Thank you for this important post. I know everyone feels strongly about who they might think is best to lead our country, but it is best to let God lead our lives. I get very tired of people saying their candidate is right and bashing the other side . I think to myself what would Jesus say. I don't think he would approve of the name calling that has happened lately. I prefer to keep a separation of chuch and state. It keeps people from hurting each other.

I have a brother who once wanted to disown our family because our political views were different than his. SILLY!! I have a political opinion, but in reality, whomever is elected still has quite a team to help make or unmake decisions. Why are we bashing or blaming one individual at times?? Back to the basics, everyone!!

Thanks Jeff. Let us stay focused on how we help the least, that last and the lost and remember that God loves everyone, no matter what political party affiliation they might enjoy.
