Mystery

God is a mystery.  He is the unknown.

We Western Christians like to know things.  We are rational.  We make lists and check things off.  We expect our preachers to know.  We put them on pedestals because they know things and they can help us know things.  Let me get the right things in the right order.  Ahh good.  I am in.

The truth is, is that we don't know.  God is beyond our comprehension.  God is bigger.  We cannot fathom his greatness.  We cannot get our minds around his immensity.

And that is a beautiful thing.  We don't have to know everything.  We can't control him, but we can fall into the mystery.  We can fall into the arms of someone that is bigger than we are.  We can rest in the care of the one who has the whole world in his hands.

It's ok to not know.  It is beautiful to relish the mystery.

It's a beautiful day in God's world, be sure to see the good.
