Sometime

I watched a movie the other night,  The Railway Man on Netflix.  Very much worth watching.  There is a quote in the movie, "sometimes the hating has to stop."

Sometimes the hating has to stop.

I have run into a few people lately that are still all balled up with resentment over what someone had done to them.  At some point, the hating has to stop.  Do you really want to be filled with resentment for the rest of your life?

  • Make a conscious decision that you want it to end.
  • Realize that the person that hurt you is also a beloved child of God.
  • Seriously pray for the other person. You cannot pray for someone and hate them at the same time.
  • Fill your heart with good thoughts for them. That will fill your heart with good, and push out the resentment.
  • Repeat.

Sometimes the hating has to stop.

It's a beautiful day in God's world, be sure to see the good.
