one sentence

We may do some advertising in the community, inviting people to our church. I am asking for your help. If you could write one sentence about your church, what would you want to say to your neighbors that might help them want to visit? Your sentence might start like:

I go to my church because....
Our church has......
Something special about our church is........

I think this is a good exercise in thinking about the good stuff at Woods Chapel. Just finish the sentence if you like, and you may find your words in print. Please do not include nice things about the preacher, they won't make the card. I appreciate your help with this.

It's a beautiful day in God's world, be sure to see the good.

I go to Woods Chapel because it is a church where people don't just listen, it is a church where people act on God's call.

I go to my church because it accepts me for who I am while encouraging me to become better than I am.

Our church has shown me how much Jesus really loves me because He speaks through the people that love Him.

Something special about our church is the way people return smile for smile, and you can see in their eyes they care about you before they even know your name (and after).

We decided to make Woods Chapel our home because....from our very first visit we were made to feel welcome, both by members of the congregation, and by the genuine feel of the service.

I go to my church because sometimes my week is so busy that this is the only time I have to see my huge FAMILY that I love dearly!

Our church has the feeling of Christ surrounding us as soon as you walk through the door. It is the feeling of a small intimate chapel, or the awe of an intricate cathedral.

Something special about our church is that there are so many opportunities to "Connect with Jesus Christ", whether it is making new friends by smiling accross the aisle, volunteering any amount of time, or applying for a job. I believe if you are not connected in any way, then your eyes still might be closed to the endless opportunities of WCC.

I go to Woods Chapel Church because I am inspired to get closer to God the minute I walk in the door.

I come to WCC because everything about it gives me strength when I need it and I know the power of prayers when I ask for them. My Sunday worship gives me the strength to face whatever the week might have in store for me. Thank you and Bless you for God's blessings by accepting me as a part of your family. Cara

The preacher is a little nuts, but... (Just kidding Jeff, you are very loved!)

Our church has so many mission opportunities where you can truly SERVE God through serving others. The mission statement for WCUMC is "Connecting People to Jesus Christ". I'm so blessed to be part of a church that truly practices what is preached.

I LOVE WCC because, many weeks, the sermons seem like they are directed right straight to our family. Sometimes, I think Jeff may have been camped out under our window, and is preaching on a topic that we have struggled with during the week. The music is fun and upbeat . . . the band, the choir, the worship teams! Everyone sings and smiles and has a good time. Simply put, WCC is a church with REAL people, REAL problems, a REAL preacher . . . no pretenses, no fluff, and folks who make mistakes, own them, and are loved and accepted anyway. It's a good place to be! kb

Our church is special because the people really care about one another. They reflect who Jesus is by their grace and love.
