shock

There are many things in life that we do not expect.  The untimely death of a 46 year old friend is one of them.  On Friday, a long time friend of Woods Chapel, Sonia Clogston, had a heart attack and died.

She was an employee of DFS and a tireless worker and advocate for children.  She was kind and friendly.  Woods Chapel was more than a place that helped her care for children.  This was her church home.

Please pray for her two sons and her parents.  Please join me in thanking God for all that she was and all that she did.  She will be missed by so many.

Please never take life for granted.  Every day that we live is a gift from our Father.

After church today, I went online and found a story Channel 9's Donna Pittman did, about Woods Chapel's ever growing prom boutique. Even though I do not know, nor have ever met, Sonia Clogston, I was blessed by learning that the prom boutique was her idea, twelve years ago. And now Sonia is wearing beautiful heaven adornment. Her life lives on, not only through the Boutique, but in the lives of all the children she advocated for.

Sounds like we were blessed to have her among us.

Guess I'm being repetitive, but something that people forget to be thankful for: the gift of breath.

Dear Lord please grant Sonia's family with peace, patience and grace...
