12:15

I told you that I had good news. Yesterday at 12:15 our church took a massive step into the future.

For years members have begged me to hire a full time associate pastor. I have resisted. Pastors are expensive and you don't always know what you are getting.

Our staff has worked hard over the years and much has been accomplished. However, it has become clear to me that our staff is doing all that they can. If we are going to keep growing into the future, we need to add someone that can help us get there.

Yesterday at 12:15 in a special church council meeting we voted unanimously to approve funding to bring Clay W on board. Clay W will have to suffice for now because I am not sure that I am comfortable putting last names on the blog [usually.]

Clay is a tremendous man who is well known in our area. He has served another local church for 20 years. He is full of positive energy and will bring many gifts to the Woods Chapel Church.

Clay will be helping with Pastoral care, multimedia, preaching, teaching and more. His first day with us will be Monday, August 13th. His first Sunday with us will be August 19th.

This is very, very exciting.

It is a beautiful day in God's world, be sure to see the good.

Congratulations on your new assistant! The extra pair of hands will make such a difference in how much more you will be able to accomplish as a ministry team. I am praying for this transition - it is a very exciting time for your church!
